Sebagai calon pelaku usaha, saudara/I mempunyai suatu gagasan maupun keinginan untuk mengenalkan teknologi informasi sebagai media pemasaran produk saudara/I yang handal yang diharapkan dapat bersaing di pasar bebas. Untuk menekan biaya, promosi tersebut. e-Commerce adalah salah satu tindakan bijak guna mempromosikan suatu produk yang baru. Today’s business competition not only relies on the quality of the product, but rather on the quality of service,                  which is more encouraging customers to re-buy products or use the solutions we offer. However, does not mean               that your products are marketed may not certifiable, especially if the products offered by competitors who have               roughly the same. Another case for products that are essentially unique, high quality and has a strong                                     differentiation, so that customers will have a clear value, although there are products that are similar.

On this occasion, I try to create a web-based business applications using PHP programming. This application                       describes a system engineering courses at the University of Trisakti informatics. Where, admin can enter a news                 and the courses. which can be viewed by students in the Web directly without having to log in first.

So I created this application to qualify midterm assessment of one of the Internet-based business school.

Understanding PHP

PHP is an acronym for “PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor”, is a scripting language that is inserted in the HTML. Most of the syntax similar to C, Java, asp and Perl, PHP plus some specific functions. The main purpose of this language is to allow web designers to write dynamic web pages quickly.

PHP Advantages

At this time the language PERL and CGI was far behind the times so that most web designers a lot of switching to a server-side language that is more dynamic scripting like PHP.

The entire web-based applications can be made with PHP. But the main strength is in konektivitasnya PHP with a database system on the web. Database system that can be supported by PHP are:

PHP can run on different operating systems like windows 98/NT, UNIX / Linux, solaris and macintosh. Another advantage of PHP is PHP also supports communication with services such as IMAP protocol, SNMP, NNTP, POP3, HTTP and even

PHP 2.0 mampu berhubungan dengan database dan dapat diintegrasikan dengan HTML. pada tahun 1996, PHP telah digunakan oleh banyak web site di dunia. sebuah kelompok pengembangan sofeware yang terdiri dari Rasmus, Zeew Suraski, Andi Gutman, Stig Bakken, Shane Caraveo dan Jim Winstead bekerja selama tujuh bulan untuk menyempurnakan PHP 2.0. akhirnnya pada tanggal 6 juni 1998, PHP 3.0 resmi dikeluarkan.

Pada tanggal 22 mei 2000 PHP 4.0 diterbitkan. berdasarkan hasil survei dari Netcraft (http://www.netcraft.com), PHP adalah salah satu bahasa server-side paling populer, setara dalam jumlah pemakaian dengan mod_perl, dibawah CGI dan ASP.

Also PHP also supports the IMAP protocol connections, SNMP, NNTP and POP3.

PHP History

PHP was first created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995. At that time PHP named FI (Form Interpreted). At the moment PHP is a set of scripts that are used to process data from the web form.

Further development is Rasmus released the source code and named PHP / FI, as the extension of the PHP / FI is the Personal Home Page / Forms Interpreter. With the release of this source code into open source, so a lot of programmers who are interested to join PHP development.

In November 1997, released PHP / FI 2.0. In this release the interpreter was implemented in C. In this release also included the extension modules that enhance the ability of PHP / FI significantly.

In 1997, a company called Zend, the PHP interpreter to rewrite be cleaner, better and faster. Then in June 1998 the company released a new interpreter for the PHP and the formalizing a release into PHP 3.0.

In mid-1999, Zend released a new PHP interpreter and the release is known as the PHP 4.0. PHP version PHP 4.0 is the most widely used. This version is widely used because this version can be used to build complex web applications but still have the speed and process stability.

In June 2004, Zend PHP 5.0 release. This version is the latest version of PHP. In this version, the core of PHP interpreters experienced major changes. In this version of the model is also introduced a new object-oriented programming to respond to discuss the development of programming towards object-oriented programming.
